Best possible recitation of "subjective reality"

This is an excellent book on Tantra. If you are a spiritual seeker or simply wondering about spiritualism or confused about religion and spiritualism or for any kind of spiritual questions in your mind this is book for you. Aghori Vimalanda, who had experienced the Ultimate, kept a low profile happened (or pre-destined) to come in contact with author who lived in India at that time. This was live narration of his encounters with ultimate spiritual energy or kundalini maa and author did an excellent job in compiling his recitation of his cosmic experience into words, of-course, as much as could be possible. Unlike many other books this is not a mere theoretical, vague and ignorant explanation of old scriptures because she (kundalini) is a "subjective reality" thus can not be imagined or understood by "objective" confined mind but can only be falsely interpreted and made poisonous. If you are wondering about some God men, who they are? How they can make some people pursue, how they start claiming themselves knower of all and thus God men - read this book before taking your next step.

A journey into other realms.

I picked up Aghora II one fine day because the picture on top of the book seemed interesting. It lay on my bookshelf for a few months when one day in the absence of anything better to do I started reading it. I had no inkling that my life was about to be transformed.

Before that I was another one of those "English-medium" taught disconnected Indian who had a passing idea of India's culture and traditions. Although I had heard all the rhetoric about the greatness of Indian culture, religion etc. etc. nothing had provided me an in depth vision of it at all. I took 2 years to read the three parts of Aghora. I read nothing else. I did not need to. Even now when I go back to them sometimes, I read something which prevents me from reading anything for weeks, such is the depth that has been addressed.

It won't be an overstatement if I would say that these books have changed my insight completely towards everything known or unknown.

Rostis takes a postcolonial theoretical stance and includes a postcolonial analysis of the Red Cross and Medecins Sans Frontieres as case studies in the emergence of organized global humanitarianism. By incorporating the discourse of humanitarianism into stakeholder theory and 'business and society' research, he expands his investigation by problematizing what has been up to now an unproblematic conceptualization of the nonprofit organization as an unquestionable good. He elaborates on the discourse of humanitarianism demonstrating some counterintuitive behaviors of these two well-known humanitarianism organizations. He cites the impetus for his book as twofold: first, the need to understand the paradoxical behavior of humanitarian organizations that he observed while working for the International Red Cross in Africa; and, second, the lack of coverage by scholars of the humanitarian organization itself. He characterizes humanitarian responses as frequently late in coming and of being selective. While humanitarian aid is now more organized, funded, and globalized, he finds that the need to alleviate suffering can be trumped by the need to save political capital, economic resources and staff for areas of the world that are more central to national security interests. I read this book years ago and found it helpful in remembering techniques I was learning in psychic healing. Philosophical Look at Nolan

I am a fan of Nolan's work and style, so this was a great read. McGowan critically analyzes his films both individually and as subtexts to his overall filmmaking career so far. He frequently brings in philosophical ethics, especially Freud and Hegel, which can at times become challenging but is mostly well explained and understandable to those not versed in ethics. Overall, I really enjoyed this work and cannot wait to watch a Nolan film with friends and start explaining how the act of creating a fiction is really the pure representation of reaching truth. And stuff. The only downside is it stops at Inception!

Had the guests sign the book as a keepsake.also bought the "Daisy the Donut Fairy" sticker activity books to give as favors !!! Very helpful and well written

I've really enjoyed reading Running a Bar For Dummies. Some of the info is very basic, but that's what the whole series is about. Making no assumptions about your bar knowledge, it starts from the beginning and moves you through all the steps you need to take to get started and avoid the many potholes that could await you. Very helpful and well written. I highly recommend this book to anyone in the bar business.

About the Author

Wendy Oliver, EdD, is a professor of dance in the department of theater, dance, and film at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. She has degrees in English, dance, and dance education and has taught dance at the college level for over 20 years. She believes that writing has a place in every dance course and she incorporates dance criticism, dance research, and informal dance writing into her classes on a regular basis.

 

Oliver worked briefly as a dance critic, and later wrote her dissertation on the teaching of dance criticism at the college level. She has edited three books, and has published dance articles in a variety of books and journals, including the Journal of Dance in Education; Dance Research Journal; and the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. She is an editorial board member for the Journal of Dance in Education and has served on the board for the Congress on Research for Dance. She also served as director of publications for the National Dance Association and is co-coordinator of the Rhode Island Arts Proficiencies in Dance.

 

Oliver was honored in Who’s Who of American Women in 2008 to 2009 and received the National Dance Association Scholar/Artist Award in 2008. She was also listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers from 2003 to 2006 and received the Dance Educator of the Year Award in 1998 from the Rhode Island AAHPERD.

The making of a hero

This is a really good read. I really could not put it down until I had completed it. The world is detailed and interesting. The plot is very well thought out and realistic and the characters are likable. Character after character gets killed and I like that. No spoilers other than "its rough to be a clone."

A good start to what promises to become a grand space opera

The story starts out somewhat reminiscent of 90's cyberpunk and quickly turns into a gritty and dark, albeit humorous, journey into a vast and complex action packed "soft-fi" space adventure.

At first the characters seem somewhat sketchy, until the realization hits home that they are fresh from the cloning vats - literally newly-born - and really have no clue as to what is happening in the world around them. The only knowledge they have to build upon is the carefully tailored dissemination of the state-controlled propaganda war-machine. Mr. Matari plays this dichotomy of the Truth perceived versus the Truth achieved like a maestro and ruthlessly pulls the strings of his puppets as they slowly start understanding the world they live in and their place in it. This book is a very interesting study in what happens when you place advanced military hardware - and the knowledge on how to use it - into the hands of artificially adult innocents who do not have the benefit of being carefully brought up in a society that has the patience (and will) to teach them the differences between right and wrong...

It is one of those books that are hard to put down once you start. The tempo is fast and action packed and the book takes the reader through one roller-coaster after another, in a setting that promises even wilder rides in future volumes of the saga. I for one, am already standing in line after reading the book twice now - eager to know what happens next.

Inept Clones

Humans have expanded and met hostile aliens. They outpace us in some tech areas but fight with edged weapons due to societal reasons. No problem. Where it started losing me was the final training exercise. The clones are given implanted skills and born as adults to then start using and remembering the implanted info. They are running around like High School kids or civs off the street no skills displayed and in a most incompetent engagement ever. There is a big lack of detail and that is not bad in it's own but it has to be believable. Pick 20 people off the street and 50/50 odds of beating these clones. There was never any sense these were capable soldiers at all and the main reason I cannot recommend.

Some of the tech is a bit sketchy, mass drivers for FTL speeds. So 0-several times light speed of straight accel and no problems inside the ship. Too much detail was given if you are not going to explain. A problem many authors have creating a universe are adding some details and universe rule breaking. Just call it jump and be done with it. Or pull the ships out our dimension to evade the rules or something. Really this was a small point here and I could ignore it. I have gotten over my detail demanding hard scifi days so detail is not required just make it hang together in a character story. The clones being just regular old people bad at fighting did it in for me.

If you are a military scifi reader this is probably not for you. It doesn't have to be mil technical to be good. An example are Bujold's Vorkosigan books or a newer book A Soldier's Duty (Theirs Not to Reason Why). A romance crossover writer that nails it???, let alone the King of milscifi Weber. (Dethroned now by abdication). Indie author with some ideas and maybe the wrong genre. Limp milscifi.

Breath Taking!!! I AM IN LOVE!!!

I am a MASSIVE fan of Jennifer Murgia's work, having read both 'Angel Star' and it's sequel 'Lemniscate', and with that,
I can say that 'The Bliss' does not disappoint! I could not wait to purchase 'The Bliss' and read it!
I devoured it in very little time! It is a short piece (being a novella), but it truly is wonderful!
Jennifer Murgia has a way of writing, that completely engrosses you! You feel as if you are part of the story.
I felt like I was a part of Heaven, witnessing Hadrian's and Lucifer's history unfold! Their story was beautiful and tragic!
You couldn't help rooting them on, despite logic telling you that you really shouldn't! Jennifer has a true talent for creating character's that are strong-willed and sympathetic! I couldn't help but fall in love with Lucifer's character, strange as that may sound! I also adored her interpretations of Rafael, Vayne, and Talan!
Her interpretation of Heaven, and it's court, was a work of art in and of itself! It was mind-blowing!
Reading 'The Bliss', I felt like I was the participant of a true masterpiece! It was like being part of every beautiful angellic portrait ever painted!
You HAVE to read 'The Bliss!' It is an ABSOLUTE MUST! If you are a 'Angel Star' and 'Lemniscate' fan---you'll read it! If you are a true Jennifer Murgia fan---you'll read it! Just do it! If you think a short story can't obtain the level of creativity and epic quality that a full-length novel accomplishes---you be wrong! Read it, it will not disappoint! You'll only be left wanting more!

I've read many self-help books and I have to place this book - The Path Within - among the best books that I've read.
I feel Anthony has written this book with my problems and obstacles in mind. I found the ideas in this book interesting, inspiring and actionable. Also, his writing style is easy to read and free from jargon. He also uses many examples to illustrate his principles, some of which are quite amusing.

Highly recommended.

Since 1998, Mr. Nagy has been providing business consultation to project managers, traders, and investment advisers seeking to launch their own hedge fund. As a former FINRA licensed Registered Representative (Series 7/63), stock and Forex traders, as well as fixed income traders have benefited from Mr Nagy's experience and knowledge in the securities and fund formation process. In addition to being a hedge fund consultant, Mr. Nagy serves as co-adviser to a number of hedge funds. For the past thirteen years Mr. Nagy has served as advisor to various non-profit organizations including the Pinellas County Pregnancy Center. In addition, he currently serves as a Congressional Advisory member to past and present members of the U.S. House of Representatives in his district. Frank Nagy resides in the Tampa Bay Florida area with his wife and four children.
